Happy Easter Holiday

Autumn is my favourite season and Easter my favourite holiday.

I'm hoping to do a little bit of everything, sew the skirt I have cut out, garden, work on a quilt and start a new book (I'm afraid if I do this it will be all I do) and cut, kit and pack for Craft Alive Wagga.

If I do anything over the long weekend its make more blocks.

I'm only 12 months behind, loved the idea of circles which means all the blocks involve some hand piecing, then add the applique! I keep trying to think of a shortcut.

Happy Easter Holiday

Easter is my favourite holiday. I plan to do a little bit of everything; gardening (weather permitting), reading, baking, sewing and catching up with family.  Not necessarily in that order.

Top of my to-do list is dressing the bunny!

 

I always knew I'd use the pale aqua print and star print from the Delivered with Love range but I'm undecided on the clothes: dress, shirt, overalls......

A decision needs to be made soon as it must be finished by tomorrow.

 

The basket is a new design I'm working on.

The eggs are simply polystyrene eggs wrapped in fabric strips.

 

These gorgeous new fabrics arrived this week and I'd love to make something  with them over Easter.

 

The top three are from the Sugarberry range.

The background print (bottom) is from the Christmas Stitched range and works so well with the others it had to be included

Bunny Loves Flowers

I can hardly wait to start the Easter weekend. It's my favourite holiday of all.

I love to do a little bit of everything, cooking, stitching, sewing, reading, gardening, snoozing ....

 

 

The little pillow is one I made a few years ago. I'd forgotten all about it until I was asked on Facebook if there was a pattern.

It's a nice quick project to stitch over Easter.

Easter Patterns

Easter- my favourite holiday

 

 

Since AQC was postponed until August, I won't be stuck indoors, cutting fabrics, packing kits, folding patterns and checking lists.

I can potter around doing whatever pleases me this Easter.

The weather's looking perfect for gardening or sitting outside with a book or stitching.

The thought of all the possibilities is so exciting!

 

My plans include.......

Playing with these gorgeous frames I found at Camera House, Albury.

I love the detail and was only going to buy the large white frame, when I spotted the smaller mist coloured one. It was impossible to choose a favourite!

Yes, I will admit to being slightly obsessed with frames.

 

a new dilly bag

I have in mind to start/make myself a new sewing bag. It could take the whole weekend to choose the fabrics. I think I only need three fabrics plus the lining. So wish me luck narrowing down my choice from these!

I started thinking about Easter last month when I purchased two little bunnies to sit on a shelf. I told myself plenty of time yet to start sewing and make something new!

Another one finished

So excited to have another UFO finished.

I have always loved this basket block. It's not my first small quilt using this block. That quilt is still not finished; all that's left to do is hand quilt it. The problem, it was started so long ago it has dropped off my UFO to do list.

I'm glad this one is finished before it suffered the same fate!

Easter, then AQC

Wow the next few days are going to be busy with family and the final preparations for AQC.

One of the Easter jobs is to finish the kits for the Make & Take class.

It's a challenge to design a project that can be entirely hand sewn and finished or close to in 50 minutes!

Everything is cut for you, even the flowers, all you need to do is sit and sew! I don't think it can get much better than that.

The Thread Roll kit costs $20 and you book at Stand 167.

The class starts at 11am.

This year I'm right into ric rac and pretty trims.

 

 

And if you love felt, I have lots of gorgeous colours.

 

 I've also stocked up on Theodora Cleave Christmas buttons and Barb's new Thread holders.
