I've really missed the shows and pop-up shops this year.
Working from home can be a solitary experience and when you are the boss and only answer to yourself it can be a struggle to stay motivated and on track some days. The shows help me stay focused, but best of all they're an opportunity to connect with you.
The Great Australian Craft Show 3
That's why I'm so excited to be taking part in The Great Australian Craft Show, an online event, next week, 4 - 7 June.
I'm definitely learning on the job and feel a little embarrassed about the video I sent off today to be used in the promotional material. Holding the phone steady and speaking at the same time was a challenge. The challenges didn't stop there, linking the phone and pc, something I've never had a problem with before turned into a big problem...... Needless to say it was a relief to finally send off a video regardless of the quality!
Video aside, it has been fun unpacking my samples and deciding which ones to to display and how to display them. Unlike the shows where you start with a blank canvas, I've had to pack down my work tables and figure out ways to use the wall space. I'm going to leave it all up for a few more days, snapping pictures for future use, before packing it down and get back to cutting and preparing kits.
Hope to see you online at the show!
I certainly will be checking out the online show..... great projects in your photo.... thanks
