It was all about Christmas last weekend; the last Christmas in July organised through the now closed Avonleigh Country Quilting. A big thank you to Kay & Sharon for organising the event and to Statewide Sewing Centre for allowing the workshop to be held in their newly renovated premises.
It was all about getting into the spirit of Christmas.
And some retail therapy, provided by me.
It was a great weekend with everyone making at least one project.
Tote bags, wall quilt & aprons.
And of course even smaller projects.
It goes without saying, I'm excited about everything I design but this year's favourite is the Christmas Gift Box.
And you know me, I like to offer, where possible a quicker version.
There is the 'no' applique version with a fussy cut bow - how perfect is this fabric!
And then, I'd like to do a little stitching but I'm not sure I want to do the whole thing, so I'll just applique the lid version.
I do have kits for all three versions, I just need to finish uploading them.
The final project for the weekend is Sew Jolly - Santa.
I've used bag batting and polyester filling to give him a slightly rounded appearance. If you made christmas decorations of mine in the past you'll know I often use cardboard in them. I think this is a nice change!
He's a perfect fit for the lid on the Christmas Gift Box too.
A kit is available
Now I am going to disappear for the weekend and will answer any emails and process orders on Monday.
Have a great weekend!
