The show is almost here. Tomorrow is set up day, Jan & I plan to head off early tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed the weather is much nicer than it was today for the trip. We have lots of yummy things to tempt you, so make sure you drop by and say hi!

The projects in this year's Little Treasures Club are so quick to make I knew they wouldn't keep the class girls occupied for a whole three hours. In the first class they all received a copy of Summer Berries with the idea of working on the quilt over the five classes. This was optional, they could make more little projects, sit and chat or give themselves an early mark.
Sue has almost finished - it just needed the binding sewn down when this picture was taken. I love the fussy cut blocks. Can you spot the birds?
There are still two more classes to go. I wonder what Sue will do to fill in time.
The third project is the Cupcake Pincushion. I love seeing all the different fabric combinations. I want them all!

Every so often I love swapping the hand sewing with some simple machine piecing. After a long day I don't want anything too challenging; something that doesn't require too much concentration.
My new quilt Garden Party is that sort of sewing.
The pattern for Garden Party has been loaded onto the website. It costs $10.00 plus P&H.
The quilt will be on display at the show next week and kits will be available at Stand G29.

It's never too early to start planning for Christmas.
I'll be demonstrating how to make these Christmas Tags at the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair this month. Once you see the simple technique, it will be possible to create a variety of tags to hang from the tree or tie to gifts.
The free demonstration takes place daily at 1pm in the Christmas in June area.

It feels like christmas at my place as projects come together for the Christmas in July workshop at Avonleigh - 12 & 13 July and Fignberry's workshop - 26 & 27 July.
The workshops are totally different which means I'm working on lots of new things!
