About 10 years ago I discovered a whole new genre of fabrics. Until then I'd only thought of fabrics in terms of dress and furnishing fabrics. Then one day I walked into Patchwork on Stonleigh and my passion for making things was re-ignited. There were so many beautiful fabrics to chose from and cordinate together. Pure bliss!
It makes me wonder what I would be doing today if I hadn't walked into this shop.
Today the shop closes its door for the last time.
Thank you Susan and Christine for stocking those beautiful fabrics and Jan for helping me choose which ones to buy!
I felt the same way when my favourite (the patchwork apple) closed in February. I had already done some patchwork before I went to the patchwork apple, but that was the shop I fell in love with and the one that inspired me! In the almost 17 years that I shopped there I lived in many different places and often drove past other patchwork shops on my way there. I guess I am grateful for the associations I had there and the fun and experiences I enjoyed there. I guess it is the same for you.

I second that Marg. I was new to patchwork when I met Susan at "Traditions" in Barooga quite a few years ago. I visited the shop as soon as I could get to Wodonga afterwards and have been hooked ever since. I will really miss knowing that I can get exactly what I want from Patchwork on Stonleigh.
