The Christmas in July workshop is over for another year. Two days of fun, lots of laughter, good company and yummy food. Wouldn't it be bliss if every weekend could be spent sewing with friends and someone else doing the cooking.
There was a mix of projects, a quilt, felt appliqued tree skirt, felt decorations and simple tags. The girls could work on whichever project took their fancy. There were quite a few felt decorations made.....
and tree skirts started.......
Else and Beth decided to raw edge applique theirs. They looked fantastic. I particularly liked the birds and baubles. The girls swapped baubles for added variety.
Deanna and Sue's felt applique. I'm can't wait to see Sue's finished. I would not have thought to use a blue background for the tree skirt.
There is no rule you have to make the workshop projects.
Belinda loved the quilt, but opted for a more achievable version using Drunkard's Path templates. I couldn't stop myself from rearranging her blocks or oohing over her fabric stash.
